Another view of the Perito Moreno glacierThis duration covered the Lake districts and National Parks of Chile and Argentina. The in-out border crossing though tedious but it worthwhile. The national parks of both countries are about the best in the world. If you are "kaki" trekking, photoing crazy, camping, hiking, bird watch etc etc then this is the place to go. However the little known Argentinian town of El Chalten have the best mountain range in the world (The Mt Fitz Roy) which is not to be missed too, even I found it difficult to get petrol there (almost got stranded without petrol for the bike). Alas! There is always someone there to sell fuel to you; just ask around.
